He grew to manhood on the Rohrer farm east of Bunker H 3 CONC ill, Ind., with four brothers and two sisters, all of whom preceded him i 3 CONC n death except his oldest brother. On Sept l, 1889, he was united in m 3 CONC arriage to Margaret Ann Rife, to which union was born two sons, both of w 3 CONC hom survive him, together with two grandchildren. Mr. Rohrer and his f 3 CONC amily moved to Marshall County a few years after his marriage. In 1921 h 3 CONC e retired from the farm and moved to Plymouth, where he had since resid 3 CONC ed. When a young man he united with the Church of the Brethren and rem 3 CONC ained a faithful Christian until his death. He served in the deacon's o 3 CONC ffice during many of his active years, and in his declining years added t 3 CONC o his spiritual growth by quiet meditation and prayer. Funeral services w 3 CONC ere conducted by Brethren A. C. Keim and Clyde Joseph at the Plymouth c 3 CONC hurch. Interment was in the New Oak Hill cemetery. -- Mrs. Harry E. After high school she taught grade school in the El 3 CONC k City area before entering McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas. Follo 3 CONC wing college graduation, with a degree in Home Economics, she taught in t 3 CONC he Hillsboro, Kansas High School for 3 years. The next couple of years s 3 CONC he attended school to obtain her Masters Degree in Home Economics and h 3 CONC er certification in Dietetics. 3 CONT 3 CONT Most of her teaching has been in college in the Home Economics departme 3 CONC nt. She taught in the Junior Colleges in Warner and Poteau and began in M 3 CONC urray State College in Tishomingo in 1937 and retired after 23 years. 3 CONT 3 CONT Early in life her goal was to make a dedicated contribution to the educ 3 CONC ational field in which she spent 40 years teaching. Her desire was to i 3 CONC nspire and encourage youth to prepare for life that they too could make a c 3 CONC ontribution to others. She was especially interested and continually en 3 CONC couraged her nieces and nephews to seek an education that would better p 3 CONC repare themselves for life. 3 CONT 3 CONT Miss Byerly was active in Community life. She was a member and served a 3 CONC s an officer in the local Chapter and a State Officer of the Business P 3 CONC rofessional Women’s Club. She served as sponsor and officer in the Delt 3 CONC a Kappa Gamma Society at Murray State and also in the State Society. 3 CONT 3 CONT In her girlhood her life was committed to serving Christ. She united wi 3 CONC th the Church of the Brethren. Through life, serving and witnessing for J 3 CONC esus Christ was a daily part of her life. Well first of all there is church - Sunday School teachin 3 CONC g, choir, official board, Women's Society, teaching mission study class 3 CONC es. Then Business and Professional Women's Club and Delta Kappa Gamma t 3 CONC akes some attention. I've served each of these as president for two-yea 3 CONC r terms. There's lots of good reading to do, puzzles to work, Forty-two t 3 CONC o play with friends, and of course homemaking and entertaining.
